Simone Biles

Simone Biles was an American gymnast born March 14, 1997 in Ohio, Columbus. She is considered by many to be one of the greatest athletes. Biles was an U.S. female gymnast, Biles was one of the few to achieve four golds in a single Games during the 2016 Olympics. Biles is the only person to have three world championships in succession. Biles was raised at home in Spring Texas, in the Houston metropolitan area. She and her sister Adria were adopted by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone was first drawn to gymnastics while she was just six. The coach Aimee Borman took her to Bannon's Gymnastix and they took them for a field trip. Biles took home a medal for vaulting, as well as a gold medal on the floor during the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. The year 2011 saw her begin playing in elite levels of the sport. Less than two years later she was a dominant competitor in the sport. Biles was notable for her constant performance her enthusiastic attitude as well as the amount of challenge she made in each event--vault bars that were uneven as well as balance beams and ground work.
