Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian actor, singer-songwriter and musician. She works primarily with Tamil as well as Malayalam movies. Annayum Raolum is her Malayalam and Tamil debut. Her debut was in Tamil with Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah is born to an Anglo-Indian family living in the Arakkonam region of in Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father is a lawyer in the Madras High Court. She has a younger sister currently working and living in Leuven Belgium working as a Research assistant. Jeremiah was raised near Chennai and went to National Public School and graduated from Women's Christian College. Andrea, who began classes in classical piano when she was eight years old, was classified as a "geek" and was aspiring to be a psychiatric nurse until her board exam in 12th grade. When she was 10, she was a part of a group of the Jackson Five called Young Stars which formed the foundation of her singing and music composing career. Also, she was an actress in her college. She was president of The Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began performing as a young actor as a child actor in Girish Karnad Nagamandala. Andrea was in the lead role with Shiva in a Leo coffee ad in 2006. She has also acted in a TV show which aired on Podhigai. She has performed all over India. The brief appearance was in Kanda Mudhal's final scene (2005). Gautham Vaisudev menon performed in Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu and then wanted her to take on the female character for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea performed the role of Kalyani the housewife whose husband is involved in an affair with someone else. Andrea was picked to play the character after actresses Simran Tabu and Tabu were invited to audition for the film. The film was released in early the year 2010.
